Over the years I have collected lots of books about

Herbert Edlin wrote a great many books about Woodland.
I discovered Edlins book "Woodland Crafts in Britain" at a time when I was begining to question my whole approach to how I worked. I was searching for a different way of making. This book is about how people in the past had a much closer relationship with the source of the wood they used. Its also about the techniques and patterns of working that people employed in much less energy hungry times than our own. It was my first introduction to the idea of coppiced woodland.
A very influential book.
